Can't a guy even do a poo in peace? Thai actor 'Pae' Arak Amornsupasiri is upset after someone tried to take a sneaky look at him relieving himself in a department store toilet.

Pae says that he laments the state of Thai society when a guy can't even do his business in private any more.

Thai Rath newspaper says someone tried looking at him using a mirror. Siam Dara gossip rag says someone actually tried to film him, using a cellphone camera.

From Thai Rath: Pae says he was sitting there, minding his own business, when he noticed a hand holding a mirror popped up above the cubicle. He hollered and beat the door. The hand quickly disappeared.

From Siam Dara: Pae says he has been pestered twice while visiting the men's, at the same city department store, which he declined to name. The first time, he was standing at a urinal when someone tried to film him.

He caught him, but the offender apologised, so he let him go. The second time was the most recent one, while he was sitting in an end cubicle relieving himself. He heard a strange noise, looked up and saw someone was filming him.

'Hey, you, ya f*ck...what else do you want?' he hollered. The offender fled. Pae says he could not give chase, as he wasn't finished doing his business.

As social values change, the number of sickos lurking about increases. 'Before, you could look at someone and tell what he was like. You can't any more,' he laments.

'Who on earth would want to see me doing number 2s?

'This is a new social evil...it's not just women any more, who get spied on or filmed secretly while taking a shower in a hotel. Now men are targets as well. I was keeping an eye on the top and bottom of the cubicle constantly, as I am wary about such things since the last episode.

'I am also careful when I go to stay at a hotel...is there a hidden camera somewhere?'

Pae wears his hair short to play the role of a vet in a romance by director Yongyoot Thongkongtoon, called Feel Good 'Best in Time'.

You can see before and after shots above. I am not sure if Pae had to cut his hair short for the role; in some publicity for the film, he says he wore a wig.

How can you hide that shaggy mane of his under a short-hair wig? He must have cut it, surely.

Pae, guitarist for the rock band Slur, made his acting debut in The Body. His next film role was in this year's The Last Moment (Rak Sam Sao), which Thai-film fan Wise Kwai describes as a love-triangle melodrama.

Best in Time is likely to enter cinemas in early March.
