'Me...Myself' goes inter

Romantic drama, Me... Myself ขอให้รักจงเจริญ has gone 'inter', and found success overseas, even before being released here.

The film, which has a kathoey (ladyboy) theme, started showing overseas recently. A Korean film production company was so impressed, it contacted director 'Aof' Pongpat Wachirabunjong (อ๊อฟ – พงษ์พัฒน์ วชิรบรรจง), to ask if it can buy the rights to make a local version.

Aof made the film, which opens here on April 19, for Mono Films. You can read more about it in this post.

The Korean company, K&Entertainment, expects to shoot the remake this year. I suppose Aof should be flattered that they are showing an interest - but why isn't the Thai version good enough for Korean audiences?

Thanks for your blog and your writing, it helps to unravel some of the mystery that attracts us to Thailand.

Thank you. It is just as well that none of us ever get to the bottom of that mystery, or this place might start to lose its appeal!
